Abby Oliver - M.Ost, PG Cert

Abby graduated from the European School of Osteopathy gaining a Masters of Osteopathy degree in 2015 and was nominated for Associate of the Year in 2019. Since graduating she has worked in multidisciplinary clinics working with a variety of patients and is passionate about tailoring treatment for the patient’s needs, whilst also incorporating beneficial exercises and lifestyle choices.

Abby’s intrigue into the human body and health directed her to a career in osteopathy, where she could work in an industry where her specialist training has given her a developed knowledge in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, warranting the ability to assess and treat effectively and proficiently.

Abby uses techniques such as articulation, soft tissue work, manipulations and MET, but has also had experience using more subtle techniques such as Cranial, Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT) techniques and Fascial techniques which can be used on patients of all ages. She is also certified in Medical Acupuncture/Dry needling, Kinesiology Taping and Myofascial cupping.

Abby has a specialist interest in the treatment of horse riders and horses and has is the two time winner of Best Equine Osteopath of the Midlands, awarded by The Midland Enterprise Awards in 2018 and LUX Life Pet products and services awards in 2020. She is a keen sports woman participating in horse riding, netball and skiing it has given her a broad understanding about the demands that certain activities can cause on the body and plans to do further courses to increase her knowledge in rehabilitation and performance taping to help her patients further with injury prevention.

Abby also treats animals, studying with Stuart McGregor at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals.
